Leroy Benjamin Mathews, Sr.

LEROY BENJAMIN MATHEWS, SR., age 73 of Otisville, passed away Friday, September 25, 2020 at his home, with his loving wife by his side. A memorial service in his honor will take place at a later date. Leroy was born on November 17, 1946 to Earl and Julia Mathews. On August 22, 1970, he married the love of his life, Vicki Cole. Leroy loved to fish, play horseshoes and pool, and take long drives in the country. In his prime, he loved to travel around the country with his wife. He will be remembered for his contagious laugh and "light up a room" personality. Leroy is survived by his wife, Vicki and their beloved dog, Barney; three children: Suzy (Mike) Cormendy, Shelly (Henry) Weis, and Sandi (Terry) Carpenter; seven grandchildren: Ashley (Jeff), Sydney (Adam), Dakota, Alex (Destiny), Chloe and Caleb; and three great grandchildren: Corey, Ava, and Hazel. He was preceded in death by his son, parents, two brothers, four sisters, and his loving cat, Hermione.
