Leroy Benjamin Mathews

LEROY BENJAMIN MATHEWS, JR., age 49 of Davison, died Monday, August 3, 2020 at McLaren-Oakland. A funeral service will take place at 2 PM Friday, August 7, 2020 at the Otisville Church of Christ 13471 N. State Rd, Otisville MI 48463. The family will receive visitors Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society. Leroy was born on April 18, 1971 in Flint, MI to Leroy and Vicki Mathews. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. Leroy is survived by his wife, Jenny Mathews; son, Dakota Mathews; daughter, Rashawna Burtis; parents, Leroy and Vicki; sisters: Suzy (Mike) Cormendy, Shelly (Henry) Weis, and Sandi (Terry) Carpenter; several nieces and nephews; and 3 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
