Lera Nell Alexander

LERA (NELL) ALEXANDER, age 82, of Otter Lake died Friday, December 14, 2007 at Brian's House in Davison. The funeral service will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Hudson Funeral Service, Inc. in Otisville, Chaplain Howard Wideman officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be Monday 1-8 PM. Contributions may be made to Brian's House. Lera was born in Murray, Kentucky on October 23, 1925 to Thomas and Vera Maud (Lockhart) Hughes. She was married to Paul L. Alexander. She was a member of the Otter Lake VFW Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and taking care of her family. Surviving are her children: Robert Alexander, Paula (Bruce) Rubey, Alberta Alexander, Vera Stephens, Rebecca (Steve) Whitsitt, and Kathy (JR) Fuller; Siblings: Alton (Charlotte) Hughes, James Hughes, Thomas (Faye) Hughes, Jr., Odell Ivy, Clara Ann Adams, and Vera (Chuck) Brodeur; 10 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Alexander; Brothers: Albert, Charlie, and Herbert Hughes; and grandson, Paul C. Van Allen.
