Leland E. Norton

LELAND E. NORTON, age 90 of Otisville, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at his home. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. Leland was born in Farwell, MI on January 4, 1927 to Edwin and Ruby (Pettingill) Norton. He became the first full-time Chief of Police in Otisville, MI. He also served as past president of the Otisville Lions. Leland enjoyed going to the gun range and shooting pistols. He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Robert) MacLaren; grandchildren: Bobbi MacLaren, Tara (Jamie) Gibson, and Doug Polson; great-grandchildren: Sofia, Cole, and Amelia; brother, Francis Norton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; son, Leeroy Norton; step-daughter, Dewanna Polzin; parents; and siblings: Emmett Norton, Ialene Toman, and Everett Norton.
