Larry was born in Flint, Michigan, on February 3, 1965, the son of Patricia (Griffin) and Robert Taljonick, and the fifth of seven children. Larry lived life to the fullest and loved adventure. No matter what challenges he faced, he always found a way to overcome them. Fearless by nature, he approached life with determination and resilience. He loved his family, friends, and dogs with unwavering loyalty. In 1994, Larry purchased his beautiful 62-acre homestead on Willard Road. He generously shared his property with family and friends, hosting family gatherings, mud bogs, cornhole and poker tournaments, and countless friendly get-togethers. He truly loved bringing people together and making everyone feel welcome. Larry enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed selling treasures on eBay and trying his luck at blackjack. He loved music and had a large vinyl collection. A devoted Detroit Lions fan, Larry spent many Sundays cheering - and often yelling - at the television as he passionately supported his team. Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Larry is survived by his parents, Patricia and Robert Taljonick; his six siblings: Karen (Duane) Church, David Taljonick, Michael (Jeanne) Taljonick, Theresa (Eric) Thompson, Anthony (Dana) Taljonick, and Jeremy (Katie) Taljonick: his nieces and nephews: Chelsea (Jeff) Dubey, Ericia (Matt) Darby, Chad (Christina) Church, Ryan (Cindy) Taljonick, Elyssa Taljonick, Luke Thompson, Ben (Tiffany) Taljonick, Brett (Kellie) Taljonick, Brittany (Aaron) Vandercook, Dakota Taljonick, Cassidy Taljonick, Nathan (Hailee) Taljonick, Cole Bradshaw, Justin Taljonick, and Taylor Ann Taljonick; 18 great-nieces and great-nephews; his godmother, Aunt Irene Miller Hyde, and his roommate, Jeff Springsteen. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Justin Niles King Taljonick; grandparents, Joseph and Loretta Taljonick; grandfather, Thomas Griffin; and grandmother, Katherine Johnson.
