Lanny R. Major

Lanny R. Major, age 81 of Otisville, died on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at his residence.  His funeral service will be held at Noon on Thursday, July13, 2023 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 2-8PM at the funeral home and again on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 11AM until the time of his service at the funeral home.

Lanny was born on October 23, 1941 to Charles and Lula Major. He was a member of the Davison Eagles ARIE 3589 and Birch Run Moose Lodge 2426. Lanny enjoyed throwing horseshoes, pull tabs, going to the casino, and woodworking.

He is survived by his daughter, Shelly (Gary Erwin) Major, grandchildren: Todd, Lanny Lee (Andrea), Joshua (Brianna), Nicole, Erica, Kristen (Billy), and Jackie (Eric); and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pearl Major; son, Larry Major; and grandson, Harold "Trey."

The family would like to extend a thank you to the Gentiva Hospice caregivers: Dori, Jennie, and Kaylee, for their wonderful care, and also to the Forest Twp. Fire Department.
