Lana Lee Hart, age 65 of Columbiaville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at McLaren - Lapeer. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. Her memorial service will be held at 1PM on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at River of Life Assembly 8959 VanCleve Rd Vassar MI 48768.
Lana was born in Flint, MI on April 14, 1961 to Charles and Esther (Simmons) Coutcher. Her parents had eleven children, Lana was the youngest. Lana was one of their nine children who grew up on a farm in Mayville, Mi. Lana attended Mayville Schools District and moved to Columbiaville and attended LakeVille School District, where she met the love of her life, Dennis Hart. The two were absolutely inseparable and did everything together. Lana and Dennis were married on October 29, 1983, and together welcomed two children Dennis and Corinne. Lana later became a grandmother, Nana, to four beautiful grandchildren who became her world. She cherished every moment she spent with them. The love she had for her children and grandchildren was immeasurable, she always told them “I love you to the moon and back.”
Lana worked for Lapeer Fabricators in 1981 and worked there until they closed in 2001. In 2014, Lana and Dennis began another chapter together by opening their own lawn care business, Harts Lawn Care, which they operated through 2025. She enjoyed being outside, whether that was walleye fishing, camping, walking her dog Bandit, working in her flower beds, simply watch the birds at her bird feeders, especially the hummingbirds. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids. She enjoyed playing cards, listening to her husband play his guitar, dancing, talking with loved ones, attending family events and hosting parties. She found happiness in the simple things and treasured life and the time spent with those she loved. Lana had a gift for gab and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Her laugh was contagious and unforgettable, lighting up a room and bringing smiles to everyone around her. It was one of the many things that mee her so special.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Hart; children: Dennis Hart, II and Corinne (Scott) Wilson; grandchildren: Kylie Wilson, Kaden Wilson, Aria Hart, and Lexi Hart; siblings: Sherry Cox, Russ Coutcher, Mike Coutcher, and Pam Coutcher; brother and sister in law: Duane (Janus) Hart, Marlene (Curt) Wheeler, Marsha (Kevin) Oliver; best friend Kim (Larry) Broughman and several friends, nieces and nephews; and her dog, Bandit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Esther (Simmons) Coutcher; father and mother in law: Warner and Florence (Lettington) Hart; siblings: Baby Charles, Larry Coutcher, Connie Fredricks, Paula Cooper, Tom Coutcher, and Terry Coutcher; brother and sister in-law: Brian Hart and Norma Roach and her nieces, Lisa Howse, and Gina Hart.
