KENNETH R. KNOWLTON, age 82 of Clio, died on Monday, July 4, 2022 at his residence, honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. His memorial service will be held at 3PM on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Clio Community Church of God, 1215 W. Vienna Rd., Clio, MI 48420, with Pastor Rhyan Glezman officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the youth program at the Clio Community Church of God. Ken was born in Flint, MI on April 6, 1940 to Harold and Verna Knowlton. Ken proudly served his country in The US Air Force. He worked for the US Postal Service for 36 years. After his retirement, he learned how to play the Banjo and became a member of the Flint Banjo Club. He enjoyed playing his banjo at nursing homes and other various events, groups, and churches. Ken attended the Clio Community Church of God and was a member of the Otisville Lions. He became a Detroit Tigers fan in 1968 when they won the World Series and continued to watch them and support them through the years, good and bad. He is survived by his wife, Nicki; children: Michael (Kristi) Allen, Melanie Giddings, Kevin Knowlton, and Karla Perrault; grandchildren: Chrysogonus Allen, Anastasia Allen, Zachary Allen, Travis Giddings, May Knowlton, Sophia Perrault, and Lauren Giddings; great grandchildren: Kota and Cypris; brother, Stee Knowlton; and several nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
