Karen Lynn Boring

Karen Lynn Boring of Richfield Township, age 55, died Friday June 17, 2016 at Genesee Care Center. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday June 21, 2016 at Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, 116 Grove St. Otisville. Rev. Kay Leitelt officiating with burial to follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 1-3 pm and 4-7 pm Monday and from noon Tuesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Karen's memory to the family for the American Lung Association Charity Walk. Karen was born in Flint Michigan on August 7, 1960 the daughter of James & Betty (Edgett) Mitchell and has resided in the area since 1980. She was joined in marriage to Danny Boring on October 11, 1980 and he preceded her in death on February 23, 2011. Karen had been employed as a Aid with Genesys Home Health Care. She is survived by son, Joseph (Davette) Boring, grandchildren; Charley and Harrison Boring, mother, Betty Mitchell, brothers; Dan (Melba) Mitchell, Dave Mitchell, sister Deb Mitchell, and a host of other relatives. She is preceded in death by daughter Jenny Boring in 1995 and father James Mitchell in 2002.
