Judith M. Phillips

Judith "Judi" M. Phillips, age 75 of Davison, died Friday, October 9, 2026 at Stonegate of Lapeer. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. Her memorial service will be held at 1PM on Monday, October 19, 2026 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with Pastor Carol Freeland officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from Noon until the time of her service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Judi was born in St. Petersburg, FL, the daughter of Gy and Jeanette Sutton. She married Jim Phillips on June 19, 1976 in Davison, MI. Judi spent some of her spare time gardening, cross stitching and crocheting. She enjoyed going antiquing and collecting. She had a spoon collection and Boyds Bears collection. Some of her favorite memories were going to the UP with her family, especially in the fall to see the colors. Judi also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; children: Sara (Jimmy) Gibson and Lauren Moss; grandchildren: Maggie, Colin, James, and Brooke; sisters-in-law: Margie (Richard) Brady, Jean Griswold, Judy Miller, Claire (Ed) McKervey, Karen (Dale) Hammond, and Gail (Tom) Boling; and friends: Patti Fish and Janet Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Ann (John) Spohn; brothers-in-law: Tyke Griswold and Ed Miller.
