JOYCE MARIE STOLZ, age 81,of Grand Blanc, formerly of Otisville died Thursday March 30, 2006 at Genesys Hospice Care in Goodrich. Funeral Service will be held11:00 AM Monday April 3, 2006 at the Hudson Funeral Service, Inc., Otisville Rev. Fr. Gary McGinnis officiating with burial in Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 5-9 PM, Sunday 1-9PM. Joyce was born in Otisville, MI on July 28, 1924 the daughter of Arthur and Clara Moore. She married Jacob Stolz on November 24, 1942 at Camp Lejeune, NC. Joyce worked for A.C. Spark Plug after high school until her marriage. She also worked part-time as a clerk at Fall's Dime Store in Otisville, a school crossing guard, and worked on several of the village elections. She was past-president of the Flint Marine Corps Women's auxiliary, a proud mother of the Willie Nelson Fan Club, a past Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic church for several years. She also loved reading, playing bingo, slot machines, and cards with her friends. She is survived by a son: Ronald (Christine) Stolz, daughter Dawn(Bill) Haughey, and daughter-in-law Sharon Stolz; grandchildren: Julie(Frank) Licavoli, Thomas (Samantha) Stolz, Lisa Stolz, Zachary (Marlene) Stolz, Autumn (Nathan) Plaxco, Seth (Michelle) Stolz, Rachel (Greg) Bailey, Step-grandchildren: Richard (Lois) Klender, Brian Klender, and Coleen Klender; great-grandchildren: Noah Stolz, Jonah Stolz, Luke Stolz,Caleb, Austin, Hayley Licavoli, Loukas and Liam Plaxco, and Eva Bailey; step-great-grandchildren: Kirk and Kameron Klender, and Dakota and Corbin Hamilton; sister: Dorothy (Wallace) Nordin, brother-in-law: Don (Mary) Stolz, Norm Reinking, sisters-in-law Margie (Howard)Starr, and Norine Moore,and Mary Stolz, several nieces and nephews, her extended families at Elmcrest and Grand Meadows senior complexes and her numerous wonderful friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband Jake in 1983, her parents, son Thomas Stolz, grandson Ronald Stolz, brothers Duane Moore and Max Moore; sisters: Retta Coulter, Lela Gooch, Vera Pettit and Zella Belle Moore.
