Joseph William Spresser, III, age 75 of Millington, died Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Spring. The family has asked for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society, 4213 S. Linden Rd., Ste. A, Flint, MI 48532 or to the Flint Humane Society, G-3325 S. Dort Hwy., Burton, MI 48529.
Joe was born on November 27, 1950 in Bettendorf, Iowa to William Spresser II and Barbara Spresser. Joe joined the Airforce I 1968, stationed in Omaha, Nebraska, where he trained airplane pilots and their crew's survival tactics. Joe served 4 years in the Air Force, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He continued serving his country as a Reserve for an additional 20 years. From his service, he was able to use the GI Bill to attend college, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska in 1976. Joe worked in sales as a manager for 36 years, before retiring in 2012. He was an active member of the NRA and enjoyed going to gun shows with his Uncle Bill. Joe loved golfing, boating, traveling in his 1964 mustang, and snuggling with his kitty cats.
He is survived by his loving partner, Doris Stark; children: Patrick (Lise) Spresser, Karla Spresser, Leah Spresser, Kelly (Bill) Brushaber, and Tracey (Jim) Bass; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sisters: Debby Justice and Camile (Brett) Moore; uncle, Darryll (Beverly) Beeman; and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
