John George Weigandt

JOHN GEORGE WEIGANDT age 79 of Otisville, died Sunday January 13, 2008 at Brian's House Davison. His funeral service will be 1 PM Wednesday January 16, 2008 at the Hudson Funeral Service, Otisville. Jerry Baker will be officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Brian's House Davison. Visitation is Monday from 6-9 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM-9 PM. John was born in Flint MI on January 20, 1928 to Herman and Amelia (Mill) Weigandt. He married Virginia Cargill his wife of 50 yrs. on October 18, 1957 in Flint. He retired after 17 yrs from Interstate Trucking where he was a mechanic. John served in the U.S.Army from 1954 to 1956 with the rank of Corporal. He was a member of the American Legion Post 151, Elks Lodge 222, Genesee Sportsman Gun Club, and the 40/8 and Local 1116. Surviving are his wife Virginia (Ginny) of Otisville; children: Nora (Larry) Atkins of Davison, and Janet McDaniels of Oregon; step-children: Sandra (Edwin) Steward of Columbiaville, Carolyn(Glenn) Edwards of Columbiaville, and Darlene Mathews of Otisville; 9 Grandchildren: 19 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and a very special extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Virginia Mae, 2 brothers Alfred and Bernard and a sister Sharon Ploof.
