John "Merv" Mccarroll

JOHN "MERV" McCARROLL, age 70 of Columbiaville, died Friday, January 22, 2016 at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will host a gathering in celebration for Merv at Billy's Bistro at 634 N Genesee Rd on January 24, 2016 from 4-6PM. Merv was born on September 19, 1945 in Meridian, MS to Verlon "Mac" and M. Elizabeth McCarroll. Merv retired from GM after 32 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and making custom knives. He also went to outdoor shows, where he sold Edge Maker Knife Sharpeners. Merv is survived by his wife, Sharon; children: Lisa (Cory) Hendrickson and Keith (Dawn) McCarroll; grandchildren: Caleb, Josh, Joshua, Noah, Kevin, Austin, and Logan; great-grandchildren, Suzie and Summer; mother Elizabeth Tinker; and brother, Phil McCarroll.
