John Paul Kuzma

JOHN P. KUZMA, age 66 of Mt. Morris (Otisville), died July 13, 2008 at Genesys Hospice Center in Goodrich. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12:00 PM until service time. Funeral Services will be 7 PM Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Hudson Funeral Service, Otisville, Rev. Connie Bongard officiating. Contributions may be made to the family. John was born in Pontiac, MI on December 18, 1941 to John and Anna (Turcsak) Kuzma and was raised in Columbiaville. He married Marlene Barden on September 29, 1962 at Otisville United Methodist Church. He was a Lakeville High School graduate and graduated from MSU with an Associate's Degree. John worked as a commercial fisherman in Alaska. He was a skilled tradesman and worked as a pipefitter. He retired from AC Sparkplug as a technical trainer after 38-1/2 years. He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Mecosta, MI, but also attended Otisville United Methodist Church. He was a member of United Way and UAW Local 651. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing cards. Surviving is his Wife: Marlene; Children: Steven (Cheryl), Mark, and Michelle (Brian) Stiglich; Grandchildren: Chalsey, Jared, Blake, Mitchell, and Marisa; Brothers: Larry and Ken; Brother-in-Law: Charles (Tanya) Barden; Sister-in-Law: Linda (Ron) Vandesteene; Nieces and Nephews: Jade, Hayley, Jenny, Kim, Mike, Jason, Mike, and Kari; and Mother-in-Law: Dorothy Barden. He was preceded in death by his parents, and Father-in Law: Charlie Barden. John was admired by co-workers and many others.
