John L. Foley

John Lester Foley, age 83 of Otter Lake, formerly of Millington, died on Monday, January 13, 2025. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 2-8PM at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home.

John was born in Millington, MI on April 11, 1941 to John Dennis and Gertrude Lucile (Forsyth) Foley. He grew up on the family farm in Millington and graduated from Millington High School in 1959. He worked for Ferrellgas for over 35 years and was a longtime member of the Millington Lions Club. John could be found bowling on Wednesday nights at Hilltop Bowling in Vassar and he also enjoyed watching the Detroit Lions.

John is survived by his children: Tami L. Lewis of Indianapolis, IN, Todd L. Foley of Frankenmuth, MI, and John T. and Shelly Foley of Unionville, MI; grandchildren: Sarah Lewis Longston, Jill Lewis Crooke, Courtney Lewis, Gina Lewis, Tanner J. Foley, and Walker T. Foley; and siblings: Sharon and John Stephens of Oriskany Falls, NY, Shirley Graham of Millington, MI, Sondra Foley of Sun City, AZ, Nancy Bullen of San Diego, CA, Joel and Ronnie Foley of Ravenswood, WV, and Vernon Foley of Millington, MI. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Michael Foley and Steven Foley.
