JOHN GORDON DYKES age 75 of Otter Lake died Sunday November 27, 2005 at Cumberland Medical Center, Crossville, TN. Memorial Services will be held 11 AM, Saturday January 21, 2006 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Otisville, Rev. David Hensler officiating. Donations may be made to the St. Timothy Lutheran Church or McLaren Hospice.John was born in Detroit, MI on December 17, 1929 the. son of Alexander and Violet (Rosenou) Dykes. He was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Veterans of Foreign War, former Cub Master of Pack # 133 of Otter Lake and Rotary. John also served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Surviving are his wife of 50 years: Dorothy Dykes of Otter Lake; son: Marc (Lisa) Dykes of Columbiaville; daughter: Janice (Robert) Zacharias of Otisville; grandchildren: Jodi Hohenstein and Nathan Blatt of Otter Lake, Jami and Rodney Gentner of Caro, Amanda Dykes of Columbiaville, Alex Dykes of Columbiaville; great grandchildren: Ashley Blatt, Katelin and Caleb Gentner; sister: Nancy (Scott) Roddy of Auburn Hills; brother: Robert (Joan) Dykes of Columbiaville; He was preceded in death by his parents and brother David Dykes.
