JERALD D. SMITH, age 74 of Otisville, died Friday, September 24, 2021 at Cranberry Park in Clio. His funeral service will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 450 Wilson Rd., Otisville, MI 48463. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 1-8PM at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Timothy Lutheran Church Memorial fund. Jerald was born in Flint, MI on November 27, 1946 to Cecil and Phyllis Smith. He retired from Buick UAW Local 599. In November, Jerald and his wife, Bonnie, would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. He was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church and when his kids were younger, Jerald was active in their little league program. He enjoyed hunting and even went fishing to keep his wife happy. The fall was Jerald's favorite time of the year and he spent most of it up north at his cabin preparing for hunting season. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; sons: Bill (Kim) Smith and Gary Smith; grandchildren: Billy (Katie) Smith and Austin Smith; great-grandson, Emmett; siblings: Virginia (Frank Baker) Gammage, Wesley (Elizabeth) Smith, Jack (Barbara) Smith, Carson (Judy) Smith, and Randy Smith; godsons; Scott Berry and Jordan Smith; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Wanda Close and Janet Smith; sister-in-law, Billie Jean Shade; and father and mother in-law, Russell and Beatie Jackson.
