Jean "Judy" Lynn Vantassel

Jean "Judy" Lynn VanTassel, age 74 of Columbiaville, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at her residence. A private family service has taken place. Judy was born on January 30, 1943 in Detroit, MI. She enjoyed drawing, painting, sketching, cooking, dancing, flowers, and gardening. She also loved spending time with her family and going to her grandchildren's sporting events. Her grandchildren were her world. Surviving are her children: Roy Lee VanTassel and MiMi Dee (Anthony) Slanga; grandchildren: Michael John (Raelynn) Kavlakian, Kyle Lee VanTassel, Makenzie Toni Kavlakian, and Logan Storm Kavlakian; great grandchildren: Stella, Jayclee Kay, and Daxon Gary; brother, Marc Lee McSwain; and extended family: April Benjamin, Austin Benjamin, and Cindy Benjamin. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin VanTassel, parents Roy A. McSwain, Mercedes Dolly McSwain; brother Albert James McSwain; Mary Margaret McSwain
