Janice E. Coon

Janice Ellen Coon, age 72 of Dimondale, MI, died on Friday, December 8, 2023 at McLaren Greater Lansing. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A  Celebration of Life will be held at the Grand Ledge Opera House on February 9, 2024 from 3:00 – 8:00pm. Janice was born in Lansing, MI on December 03, 1951 to John and Jeannette Omahen. She was a high school science teacher for over 40 years. She continued to work as a substitute teacher after her retirement because she loved sharing her passion for science. Janice enjoyed spending time on Black Lake, being active, sewing, and baking. She truly loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and watching them play sports.

Janice is survived by her husband, David Coon; daughters: Lindsey and Dan Howe and Alecia and Adam Brauer; grandchildren: Zoe, Ayden, Parker, Owen, and Leighton.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Omahen.
