James Harold Benjamin

JAMES H. BENJAMIN, age 79 of Millington, died on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Ferguson Convalescent Home in Lapeer. His memorial service will be held at 3PM on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with visitation from 1PM until service time. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. Contributions may be made to Ferguson Convalescent Home, 239 S. Main St., Lapeer, MI 48446.Jim was born on October 8, 1937 in Butler County, Missouri to William and Ruth (Vincent) Benjamin. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955-1959 at Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda, MI. Jim enjoyed hanging out at the local watering hole and playing pool. He also liked gardening and watching sports. Jim is survived by his wife, Waynette; children: Gina, Beth, Linda, and Brenda; grandchildren: Mathew, Jasmin, Johnny, Becky, Michael, Jimmy, Mouina, Samantha, Matthew, and Perry; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings: Phylis and Donna (Bob); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
