Jack M. Quackenbush

JACK M. QUACKENBUSH, age 83 of Otisville, died on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at the Mumford-Hudson funeral Home. Burial will follow in Millington Twp. Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday, October 10, 2022 from 6-8PM and on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 1PM until the time of his service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Genesee Independent Baptist Church, 4498 N. Genesee Rd, Flint, MI 48506. Jack was born in Cadillac, MI on June 6, 1939 to Orval and L.C. Quackenbush. He served his country in the Army National Guard From 1965-1968. He married Helen on June 1, 2006. Jack was a member of the Genesee Independent Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, working on cars, antiques, camping, canoeing, traveling, and watching Gun Smoke. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Jack retired from GM and continued to work at Crossroads Village, where he played Santa. He was also a sign language interpreter. Jack is survived by his wife, Helen; children: Suzanne (Kenneth) Harmon, Jack (Tonia) Quackenbush, Joy (LaVern) Thompson, Jeff (Carol) Quackenbush, and Stephanie Michelle Dowland; stepchildren: Ron (Kim) Chambal, Angela (Brian) Sikorski, Julie (Brian) Ruppert, Stephen (Rhonda) Chambal, and Darrell (Tammy) Phillipson; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and siblings: Paul (Georgia) Quackenbush and Bonnie Ross. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Jonny Lee "Jay" Quackenbush.
