Idamae Ross

IDAMAE ROSS age 96 of Clio, died Monday, December 1, 2008 at Fostrian Manor, Fl;ushing. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday December 4, 2008 at the Hudson Funeral Service, Otisville, Pastor Rick Flowers officiating. Burial will be in West Vienna Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 PM and Wednesday 10AM-8PM. Contributions may be made to the family. She was born February 14, 1912 the daughter of Henry D. and Grace M. (Wright) Daly and married Dorse Ross in 1930. She attended Lighthouse Baptist Church and Flushing Baptist Church. Idamae was the owner of Cut and Curl Beauty Shop in Clio for many years. Surviving are: 2 daughters: Arlene Beatenhead of Flint and Carla (Don) Simpson of Flushing; 6 grandchildren: Martin (Margaret) Beatenhead of Flushing, Douglas (Brenda) Beatenhead of Grand Blanc, Kelvin A. Beatenhead of Flint, Darla (Michael) Hill of Texas, Donald Simpson of Freeland and Daryl (Tina) Simpson of Georgia: 17 great grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren; a sister: Della (Ron) Ross of Swartz Creek; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Dorse; grandson: Rodney K. Beatenhead; son-in-law: Martin Beatenhead; 2 sisters and a brother.
