Howard A. Nitz

HOWARD NITZ, age 62 of Otisville, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11AM Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Mumford – Hudson Funeral Home, Inc., Rev. Bruce Malicoat officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11AM- 8PM. Contributions may be made to the family. Howard was born on September 14, 1949 to Howard and Alvena (Franzel) Nitz. He married Jeanne Guest on June 23, 1973. Howard drove truck for the Teamsters for 25 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local 3321, West Forest United Methodist Church, Morning Star Masonic Lodge, Otisville Jaycees, Moose, Eagles, and Shriners. He was also known as Jamie Howard the founder and lead singer of the Sands of Time band. Surviving is his wife: Jeanne; son: Howard Nitz; daughter: Tara Larkin; 4 grandchildren: Aerolyn, Lily, Gracie, and Lexie; and sister: Helen Ault. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Jack Nitz, and sister: Edna Ault.
