Howard C. Jorgenson

HOWARD C. JORGENSON, age 90 of Otisville, died Monday, August 22, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 1PM. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8PM and Wednesday from Noon-8PM at Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Howard was born on July 17, 1921 on the family farm, where he resides, to Edwin and Elgen Jorgenson. He married Dorothy (Aldridge) Hodges on the farm. Howard loved to farm, grow, and process his own fruits and vegetables at home. He was a proud truck driver across the country and was a member of Farm Bureau and the Teamsters. He was known as Dad and Grandpa to all the neighbors who grew up near him. Surviving are his children: Ralph (Kay) Hodges and Mary Nelson. He has seventeen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy in 2000 and children: Gerry Sparks, Judy Ostrum, and Mike Hodges.
