Howard W. Jones

HOWARD W. JONES, age 79 of Mancelona, formerly of Flushing, died Friday, August 10, 2018 at Munson Healthcare in Traverse City. His funeral service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. Howard was born on November 1, 1938 to Edgar and Virginia Jones. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, camping, and watching Harry Potter. Howard loved the water wheel he made for the gold fish pond that he created; it was his pride and joy. He also liked spending time with his family, joking around and having fun. He had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  Howard is survived by his daughter, Anna (Dennis) Diehl; grandchildren: Erika, Mike (Joleen), Todd (Kristen), Heather, Stevey, Matthew, Christopher, and Trevor; great-grandchildren: Leyna, Ella, Shawn, Ellie, Kelsey, Mykella, Jaylynn, Taron, and Talen; nephew Craig (Laree); daughter in-law Debbie; and nieces: Tammy (RJ) and Deanna; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; daughter, Tina; son, Doug; brother, Bobby; parents; mother and father-in-law; and three brothers-in-law.
