Hester Guy Humphreys

Hester "Heck" Humphreys,  age 88 of Millington, died on Friday, June 23, 2023 at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2PM on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 4-8PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the American Heart Association, or to a charity of one's choice.

Heck was born in Flint on October 30, 1934 to Hester and Louise Humphreys. He was a member of the Millington Masonic Lodge 407 F&AM and the Otter Lake Episcopal Church. Heck enjoyed fishing, hunting gardening, and playing cards and bridge. After retiring from GM, Heck and Myrtle went on a journey, walking the Appalachian Trail.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle; children: Linda Humphreys and David Humphreys; granddaughters: Christine Shavrnoch and Melissa Humphreys; great grandchildren: Carolyn, Lydia, and Gemma; siblings: JoAnn Robinson and Don Humphreys; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Humphreys.
