Herbert J. Harris

HERBERT J. HARRIS, age 85 of Otisville, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-8PM Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to American's Hospice or to the Davison American Legion. Herbert was born on June 6, 1927 in Otisville to Herbert J. and Lillie (June) Harris. He served two years in the Army after WWII and retired from General Motors. He married his loving wife, Marilyn Farner on March 10, 1962. She passed away on February 9, 2009. Herb enjoyed fishing, hunting, bird watching and going to his cottage in AuGres. He is survived by his sister, Shirley (Jim) Spaetzel of Snover; devoted nephews: Dave and Ron Harris; nieces: Alberta Hess and Rosetta Abbott; and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; sister, Marie Burrows; and brothers: Albert, Ralph, Earl, and Lloyd.
