Helen Mae Swart

HELEN M. SWART, age 83 of Otisville, died Sunday, February 14, 2021 at McLaren-Lapeer. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 3-8 PM at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity, and social distancing guidelines must be practiced. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Helen was born in Flint, Michigan on March 3, 1937 to George and Helen Riley. She married Kenneth Swart on August 4, 1956. Helen worked for and retired from LakeVille Schools. She enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, and making crafts. Above all, Helen loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Swart; children: Michelle and Michael Barnard of Fostoria, Jill Brazeal of Flint, Steve and Carol Swart of Otisville, and Ann and Todd Tiffany of Lapeer; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; with 2 more great grandchildren coming this year; brother Charles Riley. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and great grandson.
