Harrison "Butch" Smith

Harrison "Butch" E. Smith, age 62 of Vassar, died on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. His Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Vassar Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor James Mellish officiating. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 10AM until the time of his service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.

Butch was born in Flint, MI on August 14, 1962. He belonged to the Samaritan's Purse and was a Chaplin for Billy Graham Ministries. Butch enjoyed hunting, fishing, history, genealogy, and talking. His true passion was sharing the gospel with people.

Butch is survived by his wife, Colleen; sons: Harrison (Emily) Smith and Kyle (Tessa Hitsman) Smith; grandchildren: Emma, Riley, and Aiden; brother, Chuck (Brenda) Smith; sister-in-law, Tricia (Ed) Merrill; nieces and nephews: Charles, Greg, Joe, Melissa, Kristi, Heather, and David; and many great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Sharon and Lynn.
