Harold "Laverne" Gilson

Harold "Laverne" Gilson, age 85 of Davison, died October 22, 2024, at Masonic Pathways in Alma, MI. His memorial service will be held at 4PM on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Otisville Masonic Temple. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 3PM until the time of his service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.

Laverne was born in Davison, MI on April 25, 1939, to Herbert and Eva Gilson. Laverne proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1958-1961 and retired from General Motors in 1992. He was a member of the Otisville Masonic Lodge 401 F&AM, Honorary member of Birch Run Lodge 514 F & AM, Millington Lodge 470 F & AM, Mt. Moriah Lodge 226 F & AM, and Welfare Lodge 517 F & AM. He enjoyed golfing, doing puzzles, and reading books.

He is survived by his daughter, Bonita Hazard; grandchildren: Lynn Hascall, Becki Cain, Andrea Herrmann, Kayla Bays, Tyler Gilson, and Jared Gilson; great grandchildren: Conner, Jordan, Angelina, Ava, Lucas, and Whitlee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Trudy; children: Brad (Renee) Gilson, Brian Gilson, and Scott Gilson; and parents.
