GRETCHEN L. CARPENTER of Otisville age 95 died Friday October 20, 2006 at Genesys Hospice Center. Funeral service will be 10 AM Monday October 23, 2006 at Hudson Funeral Service, Inc., Otisville Rev. Jim James officiating. Burial in Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 4-9 PM, Sunday 11 AM to 9 PM. Contributions may be made to Otisville United Methodist Church, Genesys Hospice or Otisville Historical Society. She was born in Richfield Township, Michigan on March 24, 1911 the daughter of William and Gladys Leonard. Gretchen was a member of the Otisville United Methodist Church, Otisville Historical Society, Bethel Ladies Aid, Blue Star Mothers and attended Forest Township senior citizens. She is survived by her children: Leonard (Doris) Carpenter, Virginia Badgley, Carl (Phyllis) Carpenter, Beatrice (Dick)Shade, Reva (Gary) Beckwith, Dick (Maggie) Carpenter
22 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 8 great-greatgrandchildren; brother-in-law: Cecil Smith and several nieces and nephews.
