Gregory Dean Wentz

GREG D. WENTZ, age 71 of Grand Blanc, died Monday, September 2, 2019 at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 11AM Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with Pastor Tod Bierman officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Greg was born on February 11, 1948 to Melvin and Helen Wentz. He married Barb Elliott on May 28, 1976. Greg was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Grand Blanc, the Otisville Masonic Lodge 401, F&AM, and Shriners International. He was an avid skeet and trap shooter, where he competed in the CANUSA games. He also enjoyed shooting hand guns and golfing. Greg was a founding member of the band, Saints and Sinners. He is survived by his wife, Barb; brother, and sister in-law, Ray and Sue Elliott; sister in-law, Pat Elliott; uncle, Gene Wentz; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol; and brother in-law, Allen Elliott.
