Goldie C. Blackburn

Goldie C. Blackburn age 84 of Davison died Saturday June 20, 2009 at Genesys Health Park. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 23, 2009 from 1 PM until 9PM. at the Hudson Funeral Service, Otisville. Burial will follow at 10:30 AM Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. He was born in Detroit, MI February 4, 1925 to Carl and Edna Blackburn. Goldie was a veteran of the US Navy during the WWII Pacific Theater. He was also a member of the Tin Can Sailors. He retired from D.T.E. as a pipefitter. Surviving are his sons: Steven (Cynthia) Blackburn, Robert (Lisa) Blackburn; daughter-in-law: Danita Blackburn; grandchildren: Andrew, Cory, David, Kevin, Christopher, Cynthia, Robert, Michelle, Jennifer, Deanna and Gregory; many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie in 2008 and a son David; brothers: Jim Blackburn, Robert Blackburn; sister: Shirley Catlin.
