GEORGE A. THOMPSON, age 78 of Otisville, died Friday, April 20, 2012 at Brian's House. A memorial service will be held at 1PM Monday, April 23, 2012 at Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Visitation hours will be Monday, April 23, 2012 from 11AM until time of service. Cremation has taken place. George received a purple heart for his service in the Korean War. He later became a collector of Indian artifacts, movie memorabilia, and firearms. He also enjoyed carving wood. Surviving is his wife, Leora; son, Blane (Jenna) Thompson; and sister, Barbara Shewmaker. He was preceded in death by his parents.
