Garry Dewayne Ward

GARRY DEWAYNE WARD, age 85 of Clio, died Thursday, June 3, 2021 at McLaren-Flint. His funeral service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Victory Baptist Church, 2378 Center Rd., Burton, MI 48509, with Pastor Andy Auclair officiating. Burial will follow in Easton Cemetery in Chesaning. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 11AM until the time of his service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church. Garry was born on June 2, 1936 in Flint, MI to Frank and Joyce Ward. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He had a great love for his Lord and his church family. Garry was a hard worker and was always tinkering on something. He enjoyed working on his classic cars and cooking, which was a new hobby for him. Most of all, Garry loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his sons: Mark (Cherryl) Ward and Mike (Georgeann) Ward; daughter-in-law, Ronda Ward; grandchildren: Dustin Ward, Nicholas (Jennifer) Ward, Aaron Ward, Nathan (Holly) Ward, Stephanie (Tyler) Cook, Erika (Raven) Hatton, Tony (Niki) Ward and Sam Ward; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Cynthia Lehman; special friend, Bob Forbes; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ward; son, Monty; brother, Gaylord Ward; and his parents.
