Francis "Dale" Rock

FRANCIS DALE ROCK, age 84 of Otisville, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home with Pastor Shelly Ann Long and Rev. Ann Norton co-officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 2-8 PM, with a Masonic and Eastern Star Memorial Service at 7PM. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Richfield United Methodist Church, 10090 East Coldwater Rd, Davison MI 48423. Dale was born on October 14, 1933, in Otisville, MI and was the son of Vernon and Susan (Compton) Rock. He was a member of the Richfield United Methodist Church, Otisville Masonic Lodge #401, where he was Past Master, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Nourmahal Chapter #282 of Otisville, where he was a Past Patron many times. Dale also held the title of Past Second Vice President of Genesee County Association, Past Associate Bethel Guardian of Otisville Bethel #63, 32nd degree Mason of the Bay City Scottish Rite Consistory, Past President of King Solomon's Club, Past Royal Patron of the Order of the Amaranth, Madison Court #11, Past Watchman of the Shepherds of the White Shrine of Jerusalem Flint #56, and Past President of the Otisville Historical Society. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne; sister, Donna Johnson; brothers-in-law Eugene (Jeanne) Carll, Larry (Judy) Carll, and sister-in-law Shirley Carll; and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Elizabeth, Aldon, and Linda Sue.
