Eugene Spruill

EUGENE SPRUILL, age 91 of Millington, died Thursday, September 14, 2017 at his home. His funeral service will be held at 4PM on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Mumford- Hudson Funeral Home, with Pastor Spencer Snow officiating. Burial will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 3-6PM and on Monday, September 18, 2017 from 3PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Eugene was born on November 22, 1925 to Louis and Viola (Young) Spruill. He married Hassie Green on September 8, 1946. Eugene served in the Marine Corps during WWII. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Otisville and the Masonic Lodge. Eugene also enjoyed going fishing. He is survived by his daughter, Donna (Raymond) Andrews; grandchildren: Jason, Wesley, and Travis (Susan) Andrews; great-grandchildren: Dustin Rayner, and Alexis Andrews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hassie; granddaughter, Eugenia Andrews Delasko; granddaughter-in-law, Cindy Andrews; and siblings: Calvin, Virginia, Marion, and Louis "Buster."
