EUGENE F. POPPENFUSE of Otisville age 75 died Sunday February 11, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Service will be held at St Timothy Lutheran Church at 2:00 PM Wednesday February 14, 2007. Deacon Dan Zudel officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation is Monday 5-9 PM and Tuesday 5-9PM. Contributions may be made to St. Timothy Building Fund. He was born in Rodgers City MI. on April 19, 1931 the son of August and Ila (Crooks) Poppenfuse II. He married Anita Weiland on June 11, 1955 in Hilman, MI. Eugene was a member of St Timothy Lutheran Church, member of UAW Local #326. He loved hunting and fishing. He retired from Fisher Body Coldwater 1984. Surviving is his wife: Anita; children: Patricia Poppenfuse, Donald (Kay) Poppenfuse, David Poppenfuse, Kim (Terry) Harger, Paul Poppenfuse; 9 grandchildren; sister: Sylvia Luoma; brother: August Albert Poppenfuse III; sister in law Amy Poppenfuse; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Kaye Don and Darwin Poppenfuse.
