Elmer Allen Stuemke

ELMER STUEMKE, age 92 of Otisville, died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. The family will receive visitors from 4-8PM on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Elmer to a charity of your choice. Elmer was born on July 28, 1922 to Ferdinand and Anna Stuemke. He was a member of the American Legion Ezra Paul Post 321, the 40et8, and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors, farming, playing cards, and watching the geese and swans on his lake. Surviving are his children: Joe (Pat) Stuemke, Carol (Phil) Oxley, and Ken (Norma) Stuemke; five grandchildren, two great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Mary Stuemke; infant son; grandson; and his parents.
