Elinore J. Averill

ELINORE J. AVERILL, age 86 of Otisville, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Fisher Senior Care Center. Her funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with Rev. Len Wyatt and Rev. Wade Hall, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 1-8PM on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the funeral home. Elinore was born on November 3, 1929 to Sherman and Bessie (Smith) Atkins. She was a member of the West Forest United Methodist Women's Group and she attended the Oregon United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time at the Otisville Senior Center and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and making crafts. Elinore is survived by her children: Jean (Duane) Drake, James (Mary) Averill, Joy (David) Hayden, Jill (Wade) Hall, and Janet (Brad) Strang; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; siblings: Aubrey Atkins, Pauline (Bruce) Crum, Lucy (Earl) Filkins, George (Linda) Atkins, and Maxine (Clyde) Bell-Sartor; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Trow Averill and her parents.
