ELEANORA S. SPENCER age 77 of Otter Lake, died Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Lapeer Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11AM Thursday, March 5, 2009 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Francis Faraci will officiate. Burial will take place at Mt. Loretto Cemetery, Lapeer. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4PM & 6-9PM and Wednesday 2-4 & 6-9PM, Scripture service will be held at the Hudson Funeral Service at 7 PM Wednesday. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Xavier Church, The Ronald McDonald House or the Salvation Army. She was born in Mayfield Twp., Lapeer County December 13, 1931 to Francis J and Mary (Simon) Irgang. She married Norman Spencer in November, 1949. Eleanora was an active member of St. Francis Church, former member of Otter Lake Village Council and the Otter Lake Fire Department Auxiliary. She retired as head cook from the LakeVille Otter Lake Elementary School. Surviving are husband: Norman; children: Gary Spencer, Jean (Gil) Theakston, David (Merrianne) Spencer, Norma Neuman, Ronald (Hellen) Spencer, Donald Spencer, Duane Spencer, Mary (Kevin) Spencer-Moore, Gordon Spencer, and Theresa Spencer; 17 grandchildren: Scot Theakston, Sara (Scott) Smith, Susan (Ted) Parsons, Sheri Theakston, Brian Newman, Barbara Newman, Jasen Wheeler, Amanda Spencer, Alicia Spencer, Angela Spencer, Rose Ann (Scott) Neal, Scott Spencer, Sarah Spencer, Christopher Moore, Anah Moore, Paxton Banks, and Sophia Banks; 9 great grandchildren: Gage Theakston. Bodhi Smith, Kiya Parsons, Trinity Parsons, James Key, Seana Key, Michael Amaya, Sabrina McCall and Jaclyn Neal. sister:Theresa Tomaszewski; brother: Frank (Virginia) Irgang and several nieces and nephews.
