Elaine Banyas

ELAINE BANYAS, age 85 of Otisville, died Monday, November 5, 2012 at Medilodge of Montrose. Funeral services will be 11AM Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Mumford Hudson Funeral Home, with Rev. Kay Leitelt officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 5PM-8PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Otisville United Methodist Church or the Otisville Historical Society. Elaine was born on December 31, 1926 to Averill and Teresa Stimson. She enjoyed refinishing antiques, playing the piano and organ, dancing and sewing. Surviving are her children: Daryl (Rae) Banyas of Otisville, Dawn (Neal) Ladd of Otisville, Paul Banyas of Fairbanks, LeeAnne (Harold) Payer of Davison, and Dean Banyas of St. Helen; grandchildren: Adam, Rian, Nick, Carey, Bill, Nate, and Susan; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Travis, and Amelia; sister, Lois (Bob) Price; sister-in-laws: Nancy Banyas, Sue Stimson, Edith Stimson, and Patty Banyas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents; and brothers and sisters: Marie, Max, Merrill, and Laverne. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Medilodge and Nurse Practitioner, Maggie.
