EDWARD RUSH, age 92 of Millington, formerly of Davison, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Willard, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 4PM Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, Pastor George H. Warson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 11AM-8PM and Monday from noon until service time. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Edward was born on May 9, 1919 to Robert Franklin Rush and Millie Graftenreed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He met Ruby Juniata Shewmaker in Marmanduke, Arkansas and were married on November 16, 1940 in Cardwell, Missouri. In February 1943, Edward was inducted into the army during WWII. He had a medical honorable discharge in February 1944. He moved to Flint, where he worked for Buick Motor Division Local 599 and after 30 years of service he retired. He met and married Etha Louise Lewis on September 22, 1977. She preceded him in death in June of 1994. Edward enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, camping, traveling, yard sales, garage sales, and spending time with his two daughters and five sons, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Surviving are his children: Marilyn Sue (James) Morris of South Carolina, Joan Ann Gullett of Vassar, Gregory (Ann) Rush of Burt, Earl (Christine) Rush of Davison, Gary (Merry) Rush of Millington, and Darrell (Fatima) Rush of Big Rapids. He was preceded in death by his son: Bruce Edward Rush, grandson: Teddy Lee Rush, first wife: Ruby J. Rush, four brothers, three sisters, and his parents.
