EDWARD "SPECIAL ED" B. HAMMOND, age 64 of Otisville, formerly of Union Lake, died March 30, 2012 and graduated to his heavenly home. He is now rejoicing in the presence of the Lord and experiencing things we can only dream of. Service will be held 2 pm April 28, 2012 at Vision Point Assembly of God Otisville. Pastor Tom Fargo officiating. Cremation has taken place. Contributions may be made to the family. Ed was born on January 15, 1948 to Edward and Ileta Hammond. He worked for Fanuc Robotics of Auburn Hills. He was a member of Vision Point Assembly of God Church in Otisville, Christian Motorcycle Association, and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Ed and his wife Linda began ministering with 2=1 Marriage and Family Counseling in 1995. Since then they have served as Coaching Couples, Area Directors, State Team Leaders, Church Coordinators, and trainers of couples entering the ministry. On their motorcycles, they traveled across their state and beyond, always sharing Jesus wherever they went. Surviving is his wife, Linda; sons: Mike (Natalie) Temple, Jay (Jen) Hammond, and Chad Hammond; sister, Pat (Ken) Turkington; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Diane, and grandparents.
