EDWARD E. HAKEL of Otisville, age 83, was called home to the Lord, Thursday March 10, 2011 at Brian's House, Davison. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday March 14, 2011 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Otisville, with Rev. Fr. Francis Farachi officiating. Visitation will be Saturday Noon to 7 PM, Sunday 10:30 AM to 8 PM, Prayer Service will be held Sunday at 7 PM at Hudson Funeral Service. Burial will be in Smith Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the family. Edward enjoyed farming, snowmobiling, woodworking, and his family. He was a member of Disabled American Vets. and Fraternal Order of Police. He worked as a law enforcement officer for Dayton Hudson Co. Surviving are his wife Rose; children: Deborah Hakel Wirwille, Sherry Hakel-Okamoto (husband Kent) and Eric Hakel; grandchildren: Lauren and James Wirwille; his buddy Abigail; 2 brothers and 2 sisters: Lawrence, Virginia, Evelyn and Gene; several nieces and nephews.
