Doris M. Carpenter

Doris M. Carpenter, age 90 of Otisville, died Monday, July 1, 2024 at Stonegate of Lapeer. Her Funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 10AM until the time of her service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Otisville United Methodist Church or to the Otisville Lioness.

Doris was born in Clio, MI on August 2, 1933 to Charles and Nancy Kneeshaw. She married Leonard Carpenter on August 29, 1953. She attended Otisville United Methodist Church and was a member of the Otisville Lioness. She also served as the treasurer of the Otisville Historical Society. Doris loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Doris is survived by her husband, Leonard Carpenter; daughters: Lynn (Gary) Gilbert and Gwen (Rick) Funseth; daughter-in-law Julie Carpenter; grandchildren: Maranda, Trever, Malinda, Krista, Kara, and Chastiy; and great grandchildren: Shane, Kaylee, Tyler, Sullivan, Maddie, Caleb, Hunter, Addy, Paige, Kylie, Wyatt, and Ellie.

She was preceded in death by her son, Charles; sisters: Sharon and Bernadine; and her parents.
