Dora Jane Ferrin

Dora Jane (Davis) Ferrin, age 84 of Burton, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at her residence. Her memorial service will be held at 1PM on Monday, April 1, 2024 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home.  The family will receive visitors on Monday from noon until the time of her service. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Dora was born in Davison, MI on November 15, 1939 to Lester Earl and Stella Haziel (Atkins) Davis. She enjoyed studying genealogy, sewing, playing cards and board games, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her seven children: Rodney Ferrin of Grand Blanc, MI, David (Susan) Ferrin of Portland, OR, Priscilla Ferrin of Lebanon, MO, Stacey Ferrin of Onondaga, MI, Colette McGee of White Hills, AZ, Madeline (Paul) Partridge of Burton, MI, and Gilbert (Pamela) Ferrin of Flint, MI; eighteen grandchildren: Margo, Angel, Cory, Michael, Vincent, Tyler, Brian, Timmy, Logan, Nichole, Marke, Shauna (Marcus), Tucker, Andrew, Daniel (Melanie), Samee, Scott, and Jazzmyn; bonus grandchildren: Melissa, J.P., Karla (Josh), Jacob and Ashlee Gillespie, and Le'Essa and Addison Hill: twelve great grandchildren; two brothers: Lester (Janet) Davis of Otisville, MI and Walter (Gloria) Davis of Lubbock, TX; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Deloris Stroup and Audrey Davis; three great grandchildren.
