DONALD DAVID RANDALL, age 84 of Davison, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Devonshire Retirement Village in Lapeer. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be Tuesday February 26, 2008 at the Calvary Presbyterian Church, Richfield and Belsay Rds., Rev. Hal Polk officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10 AM to 1PM service time. Contributions may be made to the Flint Concert Band or the Genesee Wind Symphony in his memory. Don was born in Flint, MI on November 15, 1923 to David and Mae (Burdick) Randall. He worked for Blue Cross as an Account Executive and retired from there in 1982. Don graduated from Flint Central in 1942. He enlisted in the Navy on December 13, 1943, where he was a member of the Navy band in Washington. Don was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. He was a charter member of the Flint Concert Band and was a featured soloist on his baritone. He also was an avid golfer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, Arabian horses, and relaxing with his family. Surviving is former wife and Best Friend: Virginia Randall; Daughter: Pat (Ed) Cole; Granddaughters: Wendy (Adam) Gardner, Cassie (Dustin) Mumford, and Tyffany (Charlie) Brauer; Grandson: David Randall DeBolt; Great-Grandchildren: Ashley, Alyssa, Kylee, and Cole; Sister: Edna Barkman; and Daughter-In-Law: Gail DeBolt. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald David Randall, Jr., First Lt. killed in Vietnam.
