Dewey E. Jones

DEWEY S. JONES, age 81 of Otter Lake, died Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Lapeer Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Hudson Funeral Service. Mr. Bill Crampton, Rev. Ann Norton and Rev. Sara Parks will officiate. Visitation will be 1-5PM Sunday and 1-8PM Monday. Dewey was born December 26, 1928 to Felix and Leona (Willoughby) Jones. He married Arlene Coe on January 23, 1954 in Otter Lake. Dewey loved to farm and hunt. He also enjoyed baseball and traveling. He retired from General Motors in 1991. He is survived by his wife: Arlene; 3 daughters: Maria (Michael) Melanson, Colleen (Winston) Cervantes, and Amber (John) Jacobson; 7 grandchildren; sister-in-law: Jean (Marilyn) Jones and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, his parents, and brother: David; half-brothers: Norman, Lorne, and Fred; and sisters: Grace and Neta.
